Starting as a one-day festival in California in 2004, Rock the Bells has become the premier international touring hip-hop extravaganza. Aside from headliners like Queensbridge hero Nas, reggae mic-master Damian Marley, and Philly’s top hip-hop band The Roots, the festival boasts close to 30 acts over 2 stages, booths and attractions, and a whole day of hot hip-hop. Rock the Bells is returning to Merriweather this summer after its blowout first year at the Pavilion in 2008. With this presale, we’re giving you first crack at seeing some of the biggest names in rap rock the mic right.

Indie band The Decemberists are cherished for their captivating
stories, elaborate arrangements, and intelligent lyrics.  For their
latest release, The Hazards of Love, the aesthetically complex
collective has taken a simpler approach to their sound by delivering a

multi-instrumentalist/songwriter Andrew Bird, whose own pleasing mix
