AFC North week 16 Review
The two horse race in AFC North Division continued through week 16 with The Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens winning their respective games against Carolina panthers (27-3) and Cleveland Browns (20 -10). With Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals both pushed to the bottom of the table, The Steelers and the Ravens have booked their wildcards for playoffs this season. Both the teams have an identical last 5 game record with 4 victories to one defeat, however, while the Ravens are on a 3 game winning streak, The Steelers only got back to their winning ways last week.
The gap between the top 2 and the bottom 2 can be illustrated by the fact that neither the Browns nor the Bengals have won even half the games won by Steelers or Ravens. With the teams scheduled to face each other in week 17, no power shifts are expected in the division. When Cincinnati Bengals take on Baltimore Ravens at the M&T bank stadium, they would only be hoping to spoil the Ravens recent 3 game winning streak. Meanwhile the Pittsburgh Steelers would be looking to reclaim their top spot and reassert their supremacy in the division when they take on Cleveland Browns in the Browns’ backyard.
The NFL season so far has been very kind for the Steelers and Ravens fans and with both the teams having clinched wild cards. Their teams are performing well and the Steelers’ fans can get No fee Pittsburgh Steelers Tickets to cheer their team on in the New year. Similarly, Baltimore Ravens No Fee Tickets are also available for the Ravens’ fans.

The New Year brings with it a very clear picture of how the teams are progressing in their respective Conferences and who’s hot and who’s not. A look at the standings at the end of week 16 and we see that the New England Patriots and New York Jets have whistled ahead of the Miami Dolphins and The Buffalo Bills. So much so, that on the back of a seven game winning streak, the New England Patriots have not only clinched their division but also the home field advantage for playoffs.
Week 16 had an interesting line up of matches for the AFC east division teams with the New York Jets facing and beating the NFC North division winners Chicago Bears 38-34, after a nerve wrecking 3rd quarter, while the New England Patriots made easy work of the Buffalo Bills thrashing them 34-3 at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Over at Sun Life Stadium, the Miami Dolphins squandered a 7 point lead going into the 4th quarter against Detroit Lions to lose their tie 34-27. Heading into week 17, The New York Jets are up against the Buffalo Bills while the New England patriots come face to face with Miami Dolphins in games that would only serve as pointers to the teams’ preparations for the playoffs.
